We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support our Finance Manager with the efficient management of the Accounts Payable function. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong bookkeeping skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Accurately process and enter Purchase Invoices and Expenses onto Xero, ensuring correct GL coding and VAT treatment, and obtaining authorisations from relevant team members.
  • Perform reconciliations of payment transactions on bank accounts and Corporate Credit Card to supplier invoices, including Amazon accounts, within Xero.
  • Assist with weekly payment runs to suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage email inboxes.
  • Create and maintain Supplier Accounts within Xero.
  • Conduct Supplier Statement Reconciliations.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • AAT qualified, Part-Qualified, or QBE 
  • Strong bookkeeping skills.
  • Experience in processing high volumes of Purchase Invoices (Essential).
  • Experience in reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards (Essential).
  • Good knowledge of VAT.
  • Good skills in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Xero would be handy (but if you have used a system before this will be fine).
  • Excellent communication skills.
