** Accounts Payable Assistant **

IMMEDIATE START & INTERVIEWS

  • £28K-£33K based on exp
  • Based in Guildford, Surrey
  • Hours: Full Time Office based with option to WFH 1-2 days after probation

Our Professional Services client based in Guildford, Surrey is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant.

You will work with the finance team to ensure the efficient running of the department, including purchase ledger function.

Working closely with the finance team, the role includes the following:

  • Set up new supplier and expense accounts
  • Code and post invoices/expenses to nominals
  • Pay invoices/expenses when due
  • Complete office account bank reconciliation
  • Assist Management Accountant with analysis of nominals and other reconciliations
  • Deal with email and telephone queries
  • Assist Legal Cashiers in regard to banking of client cheques, billing and other ad hoc tasks
  • Authorisation of payments for cashiers

Requirements

  • 2-3 years purchase ledger / accounts payable experience and must be able to deal with a large volume of transactions
  • Organisational/administrative skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Microsoft outlook/excel confident
  • General IT literacy
