Overview:

An exciting opportunity to join a fast moving organisation who is currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Account Assistant to join the friendly team.

Our client has exciting plans for growth and is currently looking for a dedicated individual to maintain accurate financial records and play a crucial role in their success.

In your new role you will be an integral part of our client's team, responsible for daily bookkeeping tasks and ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions. This includes maintaining up-to-date financial records, performing accounts payable and receivable duties, reconciling bank statements, and handling marketplace seller accounts.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is passionate about numbers and enjoys working with spreadsheets!

Daily Duties:

  • Maintain and update financial records and ledgers accurately.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconcile sales channel marketplace accounts and transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and track financial transactions, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely payments.

Skills/ Experience:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accounts assistant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practises.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, and Zoho) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with any ERP system is beneficial.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT (or similar) qualifications would be beneficial, but relevant experience will also be considered.
