Our client, a thriving small/medium-sized accountancy firm just outside of Guildford, is seeking a talented Bookkeeper/Semi-Senior to join their close-knit team. Responsibilities:

As the Bookkeeper/Semi-Senior, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting tasks. Your exciting responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Raising invoices and skillfully entering purchases onto client accounts to ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations with precision, ensuring accuracy in financial data.
  • Preparing weekly payment run reports, managing outgoing payments effectively.
  • Assisting with setting up payments for suppliers and processing payroll with diligence.
  • Tackling general accounts administration duties, keeping the financial operations running smoothly.
  • Updating and maintaining client details on databases, ensuring data integrity.
  • Providing essential admin support to the accounting team, contributing to seamless operations.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, the ideal Bookkeeper/Semi-Senior should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or related financial roles, demonstrating strong numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to manage financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, allowing you to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to assist the team as needed.
