THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Paraplanning, the Senior Paraplanner's job duties will include:

  • Providing paraplanning support to a team of Financial Planners, of which there are currently six. This will include:

o Working alongside the Financial Planner on advice strategieso Research on products and investment strategieso Using the cash flow modelling tool, Voyanto Producing suitability reportso Paraplanning specialist on DB advice cases

  • Assisting the Paraplanning Manager and the Risk & Development Manager with the company’s research processes including platform and product due diligence.
  • Working alongside the MD and Paraplanning Manager on managing the company Investment Committee.
  • Able to think innovatively and laterally, to challenge current processes and look for ways to improve the service the firm provides and the client’s experience.
  • Assisting the Paraplanning Manager in developing good relationships with providers and arranging meetings with them as needed.
  • Assisting the Paraplanning Manager when needed with managing the paraplanning team to include;

o Paraplanning workflowo Organisation and allocation of team taskso Motivation and communication across the teamo Managing sickness and holiday for paraplanning team

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates interested in the Senior Paraplanner vacancy will require the following:

  • Minimum 3 years' Paraplanning experience
  • Level 4 qualified (or higher)
  • Strong technical background
  • Whole-of-market experience
  • Intelligent Office experience preferred
  • Live a commutable distance from Guildford
