About the Showroom & Business Development Executive role:

The Business Development role plays a critical role in the sales team by identifying and qualifying potential leads and ensuring a steady flow of high-quality prospects to our showroom. You will be responsible for conducting initial outreach, gathering essential information, and assessing the potential fit between the prospect's needs and the company's products or services.

The Showrooms are the most crucial touch point where the company delivers outstanding customer experience. The Showroom & Business Development Executive holds the responsibility of ensuring every aspect of the showroom is performing to the highest standards as effectively as possible. Furthermore, The Showroom & Business Development Executive will be the brand ambassador for the company, responsible for introducing and delivering the brand and its products to architects & interior design practices and in house buying teams.

Responsibilities: Business Development

  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, or other forms of communication to engage with potential leads.
  • Present and communicate the USPs of the company to prospective customers who maybe unaware of their position and offering.
  • Assess and qualify leads based on predetermined criteria, such as budget, need, authority, and timeline (BANT).
  • Utilise effective questioning techniques to understand the prospect's requirements and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions in the CRM system.
  • Identify and research key stakeholders and decision makes relevant to the potential project.
  • Provide relevant information, samples and resources to educate and engage prospects.

Responsibilities: Showroom

  • Serving clients: meeting and greeting, understanding the requirements of their project and then guiding them through suitable options from their range with the use of their panels, hand samples and brochures. Offering technical advice and thorough product knowledge.
  • Reporting all showroom data in a professional and timely manner.
  • Being responsible for showroom sampling.
  • Ordering new product in a timely manner to ensure showroom panels / hand samples reflect current wood book.
  • Deliver Home Consultation Service, visiting clients at home once product requirements are established.
  • Taking direction from the Head of Showrooms in terms of requirements and actively seeking new opportunities for outbound activity.
  • Initiating new ideas for showroom events to increase leads and brand awareness.

KPIs:

  • Number of showroom / F2F visits
  • Quality of reporting new leads and project progression.
  • Quality of growth of client / specifier relationships.
  • Visit conversion to deals.
  • Won deal value.

Skills & Experience of a Showroom & Business Development Executive:

  • Influencing skills.
  • Excellent communicator both written and oral.
  • Sales driven to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strong team player with positive attitude.
  • Ability to take direction and change direction as instructed by line managers and always remain flexible.
  • Ambassador for the company's brand.
  • Passion for interiors, design, and creativity, always seeking new ideas to evolve and improve the value of the customer’s visit to the showroom.
  • Self-motivational personality with high level of integrity.
  • Outstanding prioritising skills.
  • Ability to receive feedback constructively for the benefit of the business.
  • Strong communicator who shares information and ideas with colleagues and celebrates successes together with others.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with strong emotional intelligence & ability to build and harness successful internal and external relationships.
  • Field sales experience preferred but not essential.

The successful Showroom & Business Development Executive will receive a £35,000 basic salary with a strong uncapped commission structure.
