HGV Driver - Nights

HGV Driver - Nights required for our client, a well-known and rapidly expanding drainage contractor with offices across London and the South East, who specialise in commercial and industrial drainage solutions across Sussex, Surrey, London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Kent, and Essex.

HGV Driver - Nights Position Remuneration

• 16.88ph - 18.75ph (including night shift uplift, 13.50ph - 15ph without nights)
• 50 hours per week guaranteed, even if works are completed early
• 28 days holiday, rising by 1 day a year up to a maximum of 33 days
• On-site parking
• Training / Qualifications provided by the company

Due to expansion, our client currently has an opening for a HGV Driver to work within their nights team based out of their Guildford depot. The successful HGV Driver will hold a Class 2 HGV licence, along with ideally 2 year's HGV driving experience, and a variety of different driving backgrounds will be considered, with no previous drainage/foul water experience necessary.

The role is primarily a Driver position and will be working alongside qualified and experienced Engineers who will be completing the work once at the site, but on occasion the successful HGV Driver will be required to assist.

HGV Driver - Nights Position Responsibilities

• Starting from the Guildford depot at either 5pm or 7pm depending on the contract the driver is working on.
• Driving a HGV Tanker to sites across Surrey along with a team of operators who are assigned to complete the job on site
• Assisting with larger jobs as and when necessary
• Completing routine vehicle checks
• Recording the completion of jobs through a PDA system

HGV Driver - Nights Position Requirements

• HGV Class 2 licence and CPC Driver Card
• HGV Driving experience (2+ years)
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes
• Based within a commutable distance of Guildford
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
• Able to regularly work night shifts
