Mechanical Site Supervisor - Thames Region

We are seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our Construction team in the Thames Region.

Role Overview: You will report directly to the M&E Manager/Lead Site Supervisor. Your role involves supervising and controlling all mechanical site activities efficiently, ensuring compliance with specifications and contract timelines, while prioritizing health and safety. You will ensure a quality end product with all ITRs completed as work progresses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.
  • Ensure all relevant HS&E documents are correctly recorded, reviewed, and up-to-date.
  • Perform Mechanical Appointed Person duties.
  • Maintain QA/QC throughout the installation process.
  • Verify that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out.
  • Review and comment on Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan.
  • Supervise work to ensure it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions.
  • Record the progress of the works on record drawings or other suitable means when required.
  • Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities, and agree on actions with the person in charge of the works.

Candidate Requirements:

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Several years of experience in the Water sector.
  • Understanding of pipework fabrication, pressure testing, welding, and erection.
  • Ability to recognise quality welding and punch and snag pipelines in accordance with Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings.

Education/Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a good apprenticeship in pipework and welding with relevant experience.

  • CSCS
  • First Aider
