About the RoleWe are looking for a Lighting Controls Sales Manager to join a leading lighting solutions vendor. This is a national role requiring travel across the UK, with a focus on engaging with lighting manufacturers, electrical contractors, and other key stakeholders. You’ll play a vital role in identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, quoting projects accurately, and ensuring seamless handovers to our projects team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new customers within the lighting controls sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for lighting control projects.
  • Actively participate in marketing activities to raise the profile of the business within the lighting industry.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of opportunities and customer interactions using CRM systems.
  • Present and communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers and successful execution.
  • Provide project updates and maintain excellent customer service throughout.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in lighting control systems sales is essential.
  • Familiarity with DALI/DALI2 lighting networks is highly desirable.
  • Proven sales background with a history of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with key decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM platforms.
  • Professional and well-presented, with a proactive and organised approach to managing tasks.
  • Technical knowledge or an engineering background related to lighting controls is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays required.
