The client we are recruiting for are a high performing electrical contractor who provide specialist design, installation and aftercare service for electrical, smoke ventilation and integrated services across commercial, industrial and residential sectors primarily serving clients across London and the South East with typical values up to 1million. The clients office is located near Guildford which you would be expected as well as being their sites.

Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to join their existing team. The role will be crucial to their ongoing growth and success. They are looking for an individual who is positive, motivated, and self-driven, who wants to grow a strong team. The job will be exciting, demanding and fast paced and will require you to

  • Establish and cultivate excellent client and supplier relationships on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead the delivery of various projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee full cost control, including valuations, managing delays, risks, opportunities, and issuing variations.
  • Collaborate with our QS in all commercial aspects of the project, from pre-construction to completion, to optimize profit potential while upholding standards.
  • Implement and share best practices while actively promoting innovation.
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards, ensuring risks are identified and mitigation measures are established.
  • Manage the procurement and timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate the procurement and management of subcontractors and specialists while allocating labour resources effectively.
  • Ensure quality control and conduct regular project audits.
  • Operate effectively across both office and site-based environments in various locations in the South East.

Essential Skills Required

  • Fully qualified electrician or higher with 5 years of experience
  • SMSTS certificate with current valid ECS card or higher
  • Excellent working knowledge of current health & safety legislation
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in PM role within Residential and commercial sectors
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft systems and IT literate
  • Excellent people skills
  • Able to demonstrate excellent team ethos
  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable Skills Required

  • PMQ
  • Initial verification & certification qualifications
  • Experience in managing multiple projects up to 1million in value
  • Experienced with Amtec/Trimble contracts master software systems
  • Experienced with SimPro software systems
  • Experience with AutoCad or Bluebeam
