A Leading Regional civil engineering contractor are recruiting a Non-Working Site Supervisor / Foreman to assist the Project Manager in the delivery of a Civils Project in Guildford.

This is a long-term opportunity with the project anticipated to last for at least 2 years.

The project involves the construction of new roads and infrastructure to facilitate a major new development.

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects including roadworks and drainage.

You will be required to make decisions, motivate the team and drive the project towards a timely and profitable finish.

Although this role is predominantly Monday - Friday 7am - 4/5pm, there will be ample opportunities for night and weekend work if required.

Duties include:

  • Ordering plant, labour and materials
  • Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions
  • Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
  • Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
  • Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to
