Trainee Building Physics Engineer

This is a great opportunity to join an expanding sustainability consultancy who have taken on a range of exciting multidisciplined projects across the UK. Their Guildford based Building Physics team are expanding and are on the lookout for ambitious Trainee Building Physics Engineers who are looking to kickstart their career within the built environment.

Role responsibilities for a Trainee Building Physics Engineer include:

  • Being trained in IES software to carry out Part L and Part O assessments and calculations
  • Start to carryout sustainability strategies and reports for clients' projects
  • Produce design submissions for BREEAM requirements
  • Produce Low Carbon technology reports and EPCs for commercial projects

The ideal Trainee Building Physics Engineer will have:

  • A relevant degree within a sustainability, architecture, or engineering discipline
  • A good understanding and passion for the built environment
  • Work experience with a sustainability consultancy within the construction industry would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with industry software such as IES-VE would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
