Our client is a prominent player in the rail industry, currently seeking a Controller of Site Safety (COSS) to join their team for an upcoming contract based at Guildford Station. This is a night shift role spanning from 11pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday, running from 06/04/25 to 08/05/25.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for safety on site during the project
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel on site
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing necessary control measures
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of workers and contractors
  • Reporting any safety incidents and near-misses promptly
  • Liaising with management to provide updates on project safety status
  • Participating in safety briefings and toolbox talks


Job Requirements:

  • NCCA COSS qualification
  • Proven experience as a Controller of Site Safety in a rail environment
  • Strong understanding of rail industry safety protocols and regulations
  • Ability to work night shifts at Guildford Station during the specified date range
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
