Account Director

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead sales efforts, secure new clients, and manage strategic customer accounts. The role is based in Guildford, Surrey, with flexible working arrangements and a requirement to be on-site at least one day per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and secure high-value contracts.
  • Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and tailor solutions.
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and timely delivery of proposals.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and drive customer engagement.
  • Create and maintain account development plans aligned with client goals.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver on project objectives and client expectations.
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
  • Provide regular updates and forecasts to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Ensure all activities align with organisational standards and best practices.

Skills and Experience

  • A proven track record in selling digital transformation and communication solutions (experience with platforms such as Zoom, 8x8, Five9, Mitel, or Microsoft is highly desirable).
  • At least eight years of experience in managing complex sales processes and engaging with senior decision-makers.
  • Demonstrable success in acquiring high-value clients, with contracts exceeding £1m.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM platforms.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, combined with excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
