Role: Site Manager
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Rate: £250 - £300 Per day (Dependant on experience
Hours: 07:30 - 17:00 (9.5 hours per day)
Duration: 12 Months
Our client, a leading multidisciplinary main contractor specialising in construction and civil engineering projects across the UK, is currently seeking a Site Manager to join them on a busy site based in Guildford, off site Highways works.
As a Site Manager your duties will be (however not limited to):
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations
- Ensure works are carried out safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and local authorities to ensure smooth site activity
- Monitor and enforce health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and progress updates
- Liaise with project managers and clients, reporting any delays or issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering or highways projects
- Streetworks (NRSWA) certification -essential
- EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) categories 3 & 4 - essential
- CSCS - Essential
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Full UK driving licence
