About the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
Always Flourishing are looking for enthusiastic and passionate graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in secondary schools across Surrey.
We are looking for graduates who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience, with a view of applying for teacher training. These are long-term placements and permanent placements to start in October 2024, as well as January 2025.
This is a highly rewarding role. We are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgmental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships. You will be assisting the teacher and supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- This is ideal for recent graduates who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience before starting teacher training.
- Full support and guidance will be provided including access to relevant CPD courses.
- A stepping stone to to teacher training to obtain QTS. Salaried routes can be offered with excellent teacher training providers.
Contract details for the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
- Location – Surrey
- Position - Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Start date – October 2024
- School hours – 8:30 am to 3:15pm, term-time only
- Contract – Full-Time and Part-time
- Minimum rate of pay – £90 per day
To be eligible the Graduate Teaching Assistant should:
- Hold a relevent degree.
- Have a passion for education with a can-do attitude.
- Be an excellent role model for young people.
- Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
- The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.
- Team-player
- Excellent communication skills.
