What is expected of you?

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will take the lead in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, ensuring the holistic development of children in your care.

  • Learning Environment - Design and maintain safe, engaging, and educational spaces that support children’s development.
  • Activity Planning - Deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS standards to promote children’s physical, emotional, and social growth.
  • Child Development - Act as a Key Person for a group of children, tracking their progress, meeting their personal care needs, and fostering strong partnerships with families.
  • Team Collaboration - Work effectively with colleagues to ensure high-quality childcare and education, mentoring less experienced team members as needed.
  • Inclusion & Wellbeing - Promote inclusivity and diversity, supporting children with additional needs and making necessary adaptations to ensure their success.
  • Compliance & Safety - Maintain a safe environment, adhere to health and safety regulations, and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with policies.
  • Parental Engagement - Build trusting relationships with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
