We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health SEMH needs in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours and must be able to commit to working full-time.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support students with SEMH needs by assisting in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and support teachers in maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be a driver with access to a vehicle due to the rural location of the school.
  • Must have experience working with students with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • No sponsorships available; applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support.
