"A leading specialist manufacturer of bespoke rubber mouldings and custom-made rubber products" seeking an electrical maintenance engineer with a flexible approach who can focus on the day-to-day changing priorities supporting our business operations.

Hours of Work: 7.00 to 16.30 Mon to Thurs 7.00 to 12.00 midday Friday

From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM) the electrical engineer is a role where you will use your problem-solving skills and technical expertise every day to maintain the efficient operation of our production machines and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prompt response to machine breakdowns
  • Fault-finding
  • Maintaining electric/water/air services and the fabric of the building
  • Design and manufacture/fabrication of jigs and fixtures
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills, experience and abilities required:
Essential
  • Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline
  • Analytical, planning and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Interpersonal and communications skills English oral & written.
  • ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar
  • PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
Desirable
  • City and Guilds 2330 electrical installation
  • NVQ Electrical Installation
  • 17th BS7671:2008
  • Knowledge of lean tools and applications

Physical demands:

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing and / or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching and / or crawling, standing, sitting, significant fine finger dexterity.
