This is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of an independent environmental specialist firm based in Guildford. With over 20 years of experience, the company has successfully advised on more than 3,200 projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide clients with high-quality technical and strategic advice across a broad range of building physics services, including Bioclimate Design, Building Performance Optimization, CFD Modelling, Daylight, Sunlight & Overshadowing, Internal Daylight Modelling, Microclimate Analysis, Pedestrian Wind Comfort, Glint & Glare, Thermal Comfort & Overheating, TM54 Modelling, and Visual Comfort & Reflection Studies.
  • Collaborate with design teams on innovative and high-profile developments.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for clients.

The ideal Associate Building Physics Consultant will:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the construction industry (e.g., surveying, sustainability consultancy, architecture, planning, construction, M&E).
  • More than 10 years of experience in a client-facing role.
  • Experience with IES, Design Builder, and Radiance/Ladybug tools.
  • Expertise in CFD modelling and simulation.
  • Familiarity with GLA planning requirements.
  • Experience in operational energy modelling (TM54, etc.).
  • Experience conducting overheating/daylight assessments and thermal bridging.
  • Proficiency in IES Apache HVAC for detailed energy modelling.

This is a full-time position based in central Guildford, Surrey. Salary will be commensurate with experience and ability.
