About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join a growing and passionate team dedicated to creating a sustainable built environment. The organization has over 20 years of experience, delivering sustainability services across more than 3,200 projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
With a broad range of over 70 sustainability services, the company provides seamless, one-stop solutions to navigate complex regulations and policies. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support BREEAM Assessments for projects across the UK, with opportunities to expand into broader sustainability services, such as:
Sustainability Statements for planning applications.
Embodied Carbon Reduction Strategies.
Whole Life Carbon Assessments.
Circular Economy Statements.
BREEAM Refurbishment and BREEAM In-Use Assessments.
Home Quality Mark and Net Zero Carbon Strategies.
ESG Strategies.
Collaborate with design teams on innovative and high-profile developments.
Prepare high-quality, client-facing reports.
Develop and manage long-term relationships with key client accounts.
Contribute to the growth and success of the team through proactive engagement and collaboration.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Applicants are expected to have:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within the built environment.
A relevant degree in Sustainability.
Strong project management skills, including fee proposals, budgeting, meeting deadlines, and leading meetings.
A BREEAM New Construction Assessor license.
In-depth knowledge of UK planning and sustainability-related legislation.
A proven ability to provide clients with high-quality technical and strategic advice across sustainability services, including BREEAM and pre-planning assessments.
Desirable Experience:
BREEAM Advisory Professional qualification.
Proficiency with One Click LCA or similar software.
A Master's degree in a building, sustainability, or materials-related field.
Experience advising on net-zero buildings.
Additional assessor qualifications such as:
BREEAM In-Use.
BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit-Out.
Home Quality Mark.
