***EVENTS EXECUTIVE***An exciting and sought after vacancy for a full-time permanent Events Executive has just arrived on our books. Working for a leading Events Venue based in the heart of Guildford, Surrey. Working as part of a team this is very much a 'hands on' and varied role involving sales, operations and liaising with caterers, sponsors and suppliers. As a Events Executive you will be responsible for enquiries for a range of events from new and existing clients. Salary £29K Key responsibilities for the Events Executive include,

  • Be the first point of contact for new event enquiries
  • Follow the event handling process as required within IVvy, the venue event management system
  • Conduct professional and creative show rounds of the venue
  • Prepare proposals and verbally follow up those proposals over the telephone
  • Take responsibility for ensuring any changes are kept accurate and up to date
  • Ensure PO's, signed contracts, T&C's and full payments are received prior to the event
  • Liaise with the preferred caterers with regards to the logistics of events as required
  • Prepare function sheets as required
  • Maintain ongoing proactive contact with clients to maximise repeat business
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities
  • Invite new business opportunities to show rounds/promotional/showcase events
  • Network within the Guildford business community

The ideal Events Executive will need,

  • Some previous event venue experience
  • Sound commercial acumen and enjoy the challenge of working in a target driven environment
  • IT literate, experience using event booking systems advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Flexible to occasionally work outside regular office hours when necessary
  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient and highly customer focused
