Urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to work for my client in Guildford (with free parking - also accessible via public transport).

Day rate £230 - 250 paye (Ltd c £290 - 320) - note this role is inside IR35

Duration: 3 to 4 months (stc)

Hours of work are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday (office based 4 days per week with 1 day working from home) - there may be some flex on start/finish times.

You will need to be available from October (ideally the start!).

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team and support the financial operations of our UK business. This interim role is crucial for maintaining financial stability, integrating strategic planning into our budgeting processes, and ensuring financial performance is monitored and reported accurately. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with experience in financial management and the ability to support and guide business performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the Managing Director and Leadership team in developing and implementing strategic financial plans.
  • Improve finance-related processes, manage working capital, and contribute to profit improvement projects.
  • Provide financial advice and support to the Leadership team, aiding in business decisions and planning initiatives.
  • Ensure the production of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly and annual statements, as well as budget analysis.
  • Analyse financial trends, prepare forecasts, and offer insights to help advance the business.
  • Collaborate with finance partners and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial transactions, including cash-flows and accounts, to facilitate efficient debt collection.
  • Assist in the risk management process and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Participate in finance-related projects or transformation programmes within the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified finance professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a financial management role, ideally within a large site or multi-site environment.
  • Understanding of financial planning and strategic analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing financial risk and control activities.
  • Experience with monthly reporting, budgeting, and end-of-month processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with finance systems.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and motivate.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • A positive and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
