We are engaged with a multi-academy Trust that has created a newly defined position based on the scoping out the finance function. The working hours of this positions are term time only (41 weeks per annum) and the client is open to reviewing candidates either on a full-time or part-time basis (part time hours would be 30 hours per week for 41 weeks per annum).

Finance Transformation Manager - About The Role

TERM TIME ONLY - 41 weeks per annum

This role will be reporting into the Head of Finance where you will be leading and delivering a new operational model for the finance function and academy. You will work with several parties across the academy to implement an updated model, ensuring robust internal controls, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met. This will also be creating, designing and implementing a data source for budget holders, providing up to date information and analysis on the budget vs variance on spend.

The successful Finance Transformation Manager will have/be:

  • Qualified finance professional, ideally ICAEW, ACCA , CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience of budget management and ongoing FP&A analysis
  • Ability to manage a project including process mapping
  • It would be advantageous if you have gained experience of working within either the education or academic sector
