A Corporate Tax Manager is needed to manage tax affairs in a professional services department, ensuring compliance and advising on tax issues. The successful candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax and have a proven track record in a managerial role.

Our client is a rapidly growing, top 10 accountancy firm based on the outskirts of Guildford.

Description

  • Manage your own portfolio and assist in the running of your section and have an input to workflow planning
  • Consistently bring opportunities and work to the Group
  • Deliver revenue and profitability targets
  • Foster enduring client relationships
  • Develop and inspire our smarter people plan
  • Oversee a small portfolio of key corporate clients, including their compliance process
  • Focus a large part of your time in support the Tax Partners to deliver tax advisory services to existing and new clients
  • Assist in managing the corporate tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work
  • Establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings

Profile

  • CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent)
  • A background supporting a wide range of clients (from a multitude of industries)
  • Previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
