Due to an internal promotion, our client is seeking a Junior Paraplanner with the aspiration to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status. You will be sponsored with exam material and exam entry through to Level 4 diploma qualification.

Role Purpose: Supporting Financial Advisors by assisting with the preparation of client reports, financial plans, investment strategies and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role offers opportunities to develop skills in financial planning, client servicing, and technical analysis while contributing to the overall success of the team.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate closely with Advisors to help clients achieve their financial goals, identifying key areas of effective Financial Planning and sourcing appropriate solutions to meet clients’ needs and expectations.
  • Develop financial plans using models to support decision-making.
  • Ensure asset allocation aligns with clients' risk profiles.
  • Prepare compliant reports, suitability letters, and manage client files.
  • Assist in client reviews, updating cash flow models and investment performance.
  • Gather information for comparisons and analysis, and support tax calculations.
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings.
  • Stay updated on industry compliance standards.

Person Specification:

  • University Degree graded 2:1 minimum.
  • GCSE Maths and English, graded B or above.
  • Aspiration to become a Chartered Financial Planner.
  • Familiar with major research systems (Analytics, Voyant).
  • Experience with IHT/investment products and up-to-date regulatory knowledge.

  • Comfortable with templated Suitability Letters and dealing with third parties.
