Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our educational team. The School Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment. Duties

  • Assess and evaluate students' health needs and provide appropriate nursing care.
  • Develop, implement, and manage individualised care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding health issues and concerns.
  • Provide first aid and emergency care as needed, ensuring a prompt response to medical situations.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies.
  • Educate students on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote a healthy school environment through wellness initiatives.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing skills.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid nursing licence.
  • Previous experience in paediatric or school nursing is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership abilities to guide students in health-related matters and collaborate with educational staff.
