Wey Valley Catering Opportunity
Wey Valley is an esteemed indoor bowls club nestled in the heart of Guildford. We have a rich history and a strong commitment to fostering community spirit, Wey Valley offers a welcoming environment for both seasoned bowlers and newcomers alike. Our club boasts six rinks and ten short mats, providing ample space for a variety of bowling activities.
We are excited to present a unique catering opportunity for a passionate and innovative partner who shares our vision. By joining us, you will have the chance to make a significant impact, not only by providing delicious meals and refreshments but also by contributing to the overall experience of our members and visitors. While our season runs from October to April, we aim to keep the café open year-round to serve both our members and the public.
Catering Requirements
- Year-Round Operation: The café should be operational throughout the year.
- Match Meals and Refreshments: During the season, caterers are required to provide:
- Tea, coffee, and biscuits during half-time
- A two-course meal at the end of the game for up to 80 people (Payment: £10 per person)
- Service times: Daytime, evenings, and weekends

- Rent and Payment Terms: To be agreed
Additional Revenue Opportunities
- Venue Usage: The venue is available for other functions (weddings, parties, funerals) when there are no matches.
- Community Engagement: Potential activities include:
- Offering Sunday roasts to the community
- Creating a working hub for local businesses
- Hosting themed evening meals with entertainment
Club Support
- Non-Profit: The club is non-profit and aims to enhance the local community with the help of a catering partner.
- Facilities Provided: A fully functional and equipped kitchen and café area, with gas and electricity included in the rent.
We are looking for a partner who can:
Demonstrate interest in engaging with the local community and contributing to community events and activities. Able to offer a diverse and appealing menu that caters to various dietary needs and preferences.
Experience in operating a café or similar establishment, preferably with a focus on community engagement. Work collaboratively with the club's management and other stakeholders.
