Junior Sous Chef required for our busy kitchen on the outskirts of Guildford.
We are a small, independent, growing café and pride ourselves on offering high quality food and
service. We have 80 covers inside and a picturesque outside dining area seating a further 40. We are
open 8.30am-4pm Monday to Saturday (closed on Sundays). We work with fresh produce to deliver
quality homemade breakfasts, brunches, lunches, desserts and cakes.
The role involves cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients, working with the team to make sure
daily and weekly prep is completed, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety systems. We are a
small team and chefs work across all areas of the kitchen.
As the successful junior sous chef you will:
Have at least 4 years kitchen experience with strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
and culinary skills.
Great work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
A genuine passion for food and consistently high standards;
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices;
Be a strong team-player and able to follow instructions;
Be able to build a good rapport with the kitchen team and front of house staff.
Full-??me hours are 40 hours /week between 8am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday (the kitchen is open from
8.30am-3pm), with days off on Sunday & Monday.
