Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase
- Supporting, coordinating, and assisting in the management and organisation of care within the operating department
- Providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care
- Leading patient care delivery during assigned periods
- Conducting and ensuring adherence to patient safety checks
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements or Skills:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
- Post-registration qualification relevant to the functional specialty (e.g., Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification)
- ENB 998 and/or mentorship course
- Approved/recognised anaesthetic course
- ILS certification and orthopaedic skills
- Previous experience in an acute healthcare environment and in managing a clinical team
