As a Senior Theatre Practitioner - Scrub, you will be an integral part of the Theatre department, contributing to quality care across a range of services.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase
  • Supporting, coordinating, and assisting in the management and organisation of care within the operating department
  • Providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care
  • Leading patient care delivery during assigned periods
  • Conducting and ensuring adherence to patient safety checks
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements or Skills:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to the functional specialty (e.g., Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification)
  • ENB 998 and/or mentorship course
  • Approved/recognised anaesthetic course
  • ILS certification and orthopaedic skills
  • Previous experience in an acute healthcare environment and in managing a clinical team
