Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
  • Contract: 9-month FTC
  • Location: Guildford
  • Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our council team in the public sector. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract offering a chance to make a significant impact within our organisation. The ideal candidate will be a complete generalist with a strong background in HR practices and a commitment to driving organisational performance through excellent people management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive HR support to various departments, acting as a trusted advisor on all HR matters.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CIPD qualified
  • Proven working experience as an HR business partner.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
