An SME business based in Guildford is looking for an Accounts & Admin Assistant to join their team. You will be joining a small team in a varied role within a vibrant working environment. This role will be fully office based, and you will need to be a car driver. This is a brilliant role for a versatile individual who enjoys being part of a team and is available at short notice.

Accounts & Admin Assistant - About The Role

In this role you will be working within a small team of 3 and reporting into the Finance Manager. You will be working across multiple areas so will need to be comfortable in a varied role.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Place sales orders and ensure pricing and delivery details are correct
  • Raise sales invoices and send monthly statements to customers
  • Credit control both by e-mail and telephone
  • Post purchase invoices and staff expenses
  • Create payment run list for the Accounts Manager to pay
  • Manage the filing system and retrieve documents as needed
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff
  • Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies

The successful Accounts & Admin Assistant will have/be:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Strong finance acumen
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Able to commute to Guildford on a daily basis
