About the Role 1st Line Network Engineer

We are looking for a proactive 1st Line Network Engineer with hands-on experience in networking technologies to join our Network Operations Centre (NOC) team. You will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and reliability for our clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in network engineering with exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

Key Requirements - 1st Line Network Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience working with Fortinet, Cisco, or Juniper WAN and LAN solutions

  • CCNA certification (or equivalent vendor certifications)

  • Experience with SD-WAN, PRTG, and Visio

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in OSPF and BGP WANs

  • Basic network design, including Visio diagrams

Core Responsibilities - 1st Line Network Engineer

  • Provide 1st line support for network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and QoS

  • Monitor and maintain network performance, system availability, and security configurations

  • Troubleshoot switching technologies (STP, VLANs, VTP)

  • Assist in network design and planning, including simple deployment diagrams

  • Work within change management policies to ensure smooth network operations

  • Support optical networks and fiber connections

  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance network security and performance
