About the Role:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering planning applications, conducting site assessments, and providing expert advice to clients. You'll have the chance to work on a variety of exciting projects, ranging from residential developments to commercial schemes, ensuring compliance with planning policies and regulations while helping clients achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage planning applications from inception to approval.
  • Provide high-quality planning advice and support to clients.
  • Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to resolve planning matters.
  • Contribute to the preparation of planning reports, appraisals, and strategies.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Support junior members of the team and assist in their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest planning legislation and policies.
Skills and Experience:
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited).
  • MRTPI status or working towards it.
  • Proven experience in managing planning projects, ideally within a consultancy or local authority.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
