This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, deliver strategic legal advice on complex insolvency and restructuring matters, and contribute to the profitability and success of the department.Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of insolvency and restructuring professionals, promoting a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Client Services: Manage a caseload of complex insolvency and restructuring matters, including company voluntary arrangements, administration, and receivership.
  • Legal Expertise: Draft and negotiate agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Support other departments in achieving fee-earning targets and delivering seamless client service.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to AML, KYC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for retention and business growth.
  • Strategic Input: Provide guidance on developing and expanding the insolvency and restructuring practice.
  • Risk Management: Advise clients on risk mitigation and strategic solutions.
  • Marketing and Development: Actively participate in marketing and business development initiatives, including attending events outside regular hours as needed.
  • Administrative Excellence: Promote effective file management, accurate time recording, and financial control to meet departmental billing and cash flow targets.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor in England with a valid practising certificate.
  • Minimum of 10 years PQE in insolvency-related legal matters.
  • Strong academic background, including a good honours degree and completion of LPC and PSC, or equivalent qualifications via CILEX and SRA admission.
