Its Insolvency and Restructuring team handles a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including corporate restructurings, personal insolvency, formal insolvency proceedings, and litigation.The team has experience working with a diverse client base, including financial institutions, directors, shareholders, creditors, and debtors, providing pragmatic advice on complex legal issues.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal expertise and guidance on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring law.
  • Leading and developing a team of insolvency professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Managing complex matters such as company voluntary arrangements, administration, and receiverships, including drafting and negotiating related agreements.
  • Meeting departmental fee-earning targets while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including insolvency practitioners, directors, and creditors, to provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including AML and KYC procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development.
  • Providing strategic advice on growing and developing the department.

The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualification as a solicitor in England with a valid practising certificate.
  • A minimum of 4 years' PQE in insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • A proactive approach to business development and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, including a focus on file management and time recording.
