The firm is seeking an Associate to join their highly-regarded Private Wealth Team based in Guildford. You'll need 4-7 PQE years of experience in managing your own caseload of private client matters, although they're keen to speak to anyone ready to step into an Associate role. Experience in private wealth law is essential, particularly in dealing with high-net-worth clients and handling a variety of matters, including wills, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.

Led by an award-winning Partner, this close-knit Private Wealth Team is known for its collaborative, empathetic culture. They work with a variety of high-net-worth individuals (assets ranging from £5m-£20m), providing support on personal, sometimes life-changing, matters. You will have the opportunity to develop your career within a team that values mentoring, teamwork, and creativity in finding solutions that meet clients' long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own caseload of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration
  • Providing tax advice, estate planning, and handling trust creation
  • Building and maintaining relationships with high-net-worth clients
  • Assisting in the development of less experienced team members, including trainees and solicitors
  • Actively participating in marketing and business development activities
