Property Litigation Solicitor OpportunityLocation: GuildfordPosition: Property Litigation SolicitorExperience Level: NQ - 2 years PQEThe Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Litigation lawyer to join a well-regarded Real Estate group, known for its expertise in the South East and consistently ranked by Legal 500 and Chambers. This friendly and collaborative team includes 8 partners and 17 lawyers, with dedicated teams for dispute resolution, construction, and transactional real estate.Within the real estate disputes team (2 partners and 4 other lawyers), you will be working on a diverse portfolio of property litigation, including:

  • Commercial Landlord and Tenant Work: 1954 Act renewals, dilapidations, consents, rent reviews, break notices, forfeiture, and possession
  • Development and Contractual Disputes: Commercial and residential property
  • Easements, Covenants, and Boundary Disputes
  • Land Ownership Issues: Adverse possession and co-ownership claims
  • Insolvency Matters: With a property focus
  • Litigation in High Court, County Court, First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), and Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber)
  • ADR and Mediations

The firm represents a wide range of clients, including household-name PLCs, mid-tier businesses, and major international groups. It has extensive experience supporting property litigation needs for owners, investors, developers, and corporate occupiers nationwide.Qualifications and Experience:The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong academic background with high-quality experience from a reputable City or national/regional practice
  • Experience with commercial landlord and tenant work to support the team's occupier and investor clients
  • Understanding of Court and Tribunal work and procedural stages of litigation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, and a dedication to client service
  • Collaborative approach with a team-oriented mindset
