Legal Secretary with Management experience!

Guildford -Central

£35,000 (DOE) plus 28 days holiday, private medical, income protection, life assurance, generous pension, bonus scheme, career progression and so much more!

Office based, 9am to 5pm - Monday to Friday (possibility to work from home after 6 months)

Overview

An exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Legal Secretary to join a highly regarded regional law firm in Guildford.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to Solicitors and the broader team, ensuring the smooth operation of workflows across the department. You will be coordinating work within the secretarial team, managing resources to cover absences, and planning for future needs.

We are interested in speaking to experienced Legal Secretaries with experience coordinating /managing teams!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing legal files, including opening, closing, storing, and retrieving files in line with firm procedures.
  • Preparing and drafting correspondence, legal documents, and forms using audio dictation.
  • Maintaining accurate records within the practice management system.
  • Coordinating diaries, tracking key dates, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Supporting and managing the allocation of resources across the secretarial team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working as a Legal Secretary.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in team coordination or a management role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
