Role OverviewDue to continued growth, they are seeking a Legal Specialist to join their Guildford team. This role will support debt recovery efforts and asset retrieval by working closely with external solicitors and debt collection agencies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in legal contract enforcement within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities路 Review customer contracts and transaction history to compile legal files, ensuring an accurate event timeline.路 Apply knowledge of FCA regulations and contractual law in daily operations.路 Contact customers regarding overdue payments, organizing payment plans where appropriate.路 Work with the debt collection agency to retrieve assets, reducing company risk.路 Assess the viability of legal success by analysing contract arguments, enforcement options, and costs.路 Represent the company in court or mediation, presenting evidence, and acting as a company witness.路 Continuously manage legal cases to ensure ongoing progress and satisfactory resolution.路 Conduct annual reviews with solicitors to ensure alignment with company policies.路 Address queries from stakeholders promptly and professionally.路 Communicate escalated issues effectively to the Head of Administration.

Experience and Skills Required路 Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial or consumer contract enforcement, preferably with regulated contracts.路 Degree in Law, Economics, Business, or a related field.路 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous manner.路 Competency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).路 Strong administrative and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.路 Analytical and capable of identifying solutions to complex legal issues.路 Proven ability to negotiate effectively in legal and contract enforcement scenarios.
