Job Description
Role: Alarm Service Engineer

Role Introduction
This role involves joining a leading global specialist in the design and manufacture of anti-ligature door systems, specifically created for mental health hospitals and secure facilities where there is a risk of patient self-harm. These advanced door systems, often equipped with anti-barricade hinges, ligature pressure sensors, and other specialized hardware, require a high level of technical expertise to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Objectives of the Role
The Electronics Technician/Service Engineer will focus on integrating electronic technologies into these door systems, such as access control for physical security and sensor-based ligature alarms to detect and alert upon sustained pressure on door tops or edges. The main objectives include:
1.    Installation Support: Provide desk-based and on-site installation assistance to internal installation teams.
2.    Service Support: Offer guidance and support to third-party contractors.
3.    Maintenance: Conduct site visits across the UK to address and resolve any malfunctions identified during installation and commissioning of electronic systems integrated with door sets.
The role reports to the Project Management Team and primarily covers the South and South-West regions.
Experience & Attributes
•    Strong background in electrical/electronic systems, particularly in low-voltage alarm systems within hospital or healthcare settings. Experience in challenging behavioral environments is a plus.
•    Willingness for nationwide travel, including overnight stays and occasional air travel.
Required Skills
•    Proficient in measuring AC/DC voltages and cable resistances using a multimeter.
•    Skilled in replacing electronic devices and power supplies, tracing cables, and identifying open or short circuits.
•    Ability to remove doors from hinges to access internal components as needed.
•    Competence in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and completing tasks within set timelines.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Familiarity with Fieldview or similar quality control and snagging systems (training provided on the tablet-based reporting system).
•    IT literate and comfortable with basic Microsoft systems.
•    Full driving license and understanding of on-site health and safety requirements.
Remuneration Package
•    Salary: (DOE)
•    Benefits: Company van, tools, phone, and laptop provided (personal hand tools preferred if available).
•    Additional Benefits: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, performance-based bonus on monthly sales
