JOB- Production Controller / Planner  LOCATION- GuildfordTERM- PermanentSALARY- £30,000 - £42,000 per annum plus benefits (dependent on experience)We are looking for a Production Planner or Controller on a permanent basis in the Guildford area with experience in the Engineering Manufacturing Industry. Your main duty will be to Manage the planning aspects of production day to day as well as using an MRP system.The Production / Manufacturing Planner will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Experienced in a production planning or control position previously.
  • Knowledge of using MRP systems.
  • Understanding of KPI monitoring.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Working experience of quality methods such as 5S, LEAN and Continuous Improvement (very advantageous, but not needed)
The Production / Manufacturing Planner role will involve:
  • Attending weekly planning meetings.
  • Producing shortage reports for the purchasing team.
  • Action requests from shop floor for additional material.
  • Set priorities to goods-in for incoming material
