A close client of mine are now looking for a Lapping Technician. This role would suitsomeone who has experience in a manufacturing orengineering background, with awillingness to learn.
Main Purpose is to workpart of a team to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and perform lapping operations on precision parts
- Assist with various processes (polishing, straightening, deburring, marking, cleaning)
- Operate machines according to guidelines
- Meet production targets and quality standards
Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering experience preferred (training provided)
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Meet deadlines efficiently
- Positive and flexible work attitude
- Good communication skills
- Team player mentality
Any experience using the following is desireable, but not essential
- micrometre
- vernier
- drop clocks
- optical light source.
