The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable main contractor for an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join their growing team in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in delivering high-quality construction projects ranging from traditional refurbishments to complex new builds, with values between 1m-30m. You will be responsible for ensuring site operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Building strong working relationships with customers, consultants, and key members of the supply chain.

Planning all aspects of the project, identifying challenges, and proposing effective solutions.

Monitoring progress against project timelines and taking action as necessary.

Leading by example and setting high standards in safety, quality, and customer service.

Managing subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality work while minimising delays.

Controlling and monitoring labour, plant, and material usage to minimise waste.

Leading site meetings, reviewing safety, progress, programme, quality, and coordination.

Championing the use of IT and technology in construction processes.
The ideal candidate will have/be:

Proven ability to drive projects to successful completion.

Great communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.

Ability to promote and implement technology in construction processes.

SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and CSCS certifications.
Experience:
-
2-3 years of experience as a Site Manager.

ONC/HNC or a trade background with recognised career progression into site management.

Experience managing contracts across a range of project types and values.
