About Us:
My client are a leading construction company based in Guildford specialising in educational projects across Surrey and surrounding areas. They are seeking a Site Manager with a strong carpentry background and experience in school refurbishments to join there dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage all phases of school refurbishment projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and site staff, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Carpentry Expertise: Utilise your carpentry skills to guide and oversee on-site carpentry work, ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Health and Safety Management: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, school administrators, and stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing project updates.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, particularly in educational projects or school refurbishments.
- Strong carpentry background with hands-on experience in the trade.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
