Contractor - Flight Assembly Team

Location: Guildford
Rate: 35 per hour (Inside IR35)

We are currently looking for a Contractor to join our growing Flight Assembly Team. If you are skilled in aerospace assembly and have a passion for building flight hardware, we want to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an innovative and dynamic team, contributing to cutting-edge space technologies.



Key Responsibilities

  • Build flight hardware to IPC and ESA standards, including PCA, module build, and harness work.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment following strict procedures and protocols.
  • Follow build instructions, diagrams, and drawings for high-precision assemblies.
  • Assemble and align in-house cable assemblies and test jigs/boxes.
  • Assist in the handover of test lab workload to ensure smooth cross-department collaboration.
  • Take on additional tasks as required, ensuring all projects meet deadlines and quality standards.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong practical and hands-on skills, particularly in technical assembly.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; basic spreadsheet proficiency is a must.
  • ESA or IPC certification
  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed build instructions and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to handle immediate and long-term tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and use common sense when under pressure.
  • Demonstrate company values of accountability, effective communication, and teamwork.
