What is expected of you?

As Room Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of your assigned room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and high-quality environment for children and their families.

  • Activity Planning - Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities aligned with the early year’s curriculum.
  • Team Leadership - Manage and mentor your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Child Development - Act as a Key Person for children in your room, overseeing their holistic development and building strong relationships with families.
  • Daily Operations - Coordinate resources, meal/snack times, and room activities to maintain a well-organized and welcoming environment.
  • Safeguarding and Wellbeing - Ensure the welfare, safety, and inclusivity of all children, promoting positive behaviours and identifying additional needs.
  • Compliance - Maintain ratios, oversee room hygiene, administer first aid (if qualified), and adhere to health and safety regulations.
