Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Office Administrator to join our engineering company based in Guildford. This role offers a dynamic and varied workload, where you will serve as the primary administrative support within the office. You will be the go-to person for a wide range of office and administrative tasks, with 20% of your duties involving reception responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be highly organises, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Prepare presentations, documents, reports, and work-winning material to a high standard
  • Purchasing & Systems: Assist with purchasing tasks and provide system support as needed.
  • HR Support: Assist with HR tasks such as on boarding new employees and coordinating inductions.
  • Event Coordination: Organise and coordinate internal events, meetings, socials, and handle travel bookings and logistics.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance with various project-related tasks and ad-hoc requests.
  • Reception Duties: Provide cover for the Concierge team, including answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, and ensuring a high level of customer care.
  • Client & Employee Care: Act as the first point of contact for queries, addressing issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Office Support: Handle tasks such as large printing, binding, photocopying, and raising support tickets.
  • System & Policy Assistance: Offer guidance regarding current systems, policies, and business continuity matters.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within an engineering or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle competing priorities.
  • Professional, approachable, and proactive in dealing with both clients and staff.
