Band 7 Diabetic Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Diabetic Nurse to join our team in Surrey. This is a part-time position, offering 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility between Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing specialist care to patients with diabetes, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical care and advice for patients with diabetes.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about diabetes management, including lifestyle changes and medication adherence.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Participate in diabetes clinics and manage caseloads independently.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Keep accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of diabetes-related policies and protocols.
• Support and mentor junior staff and students.

Requirements:

• Current NMC registration.
• Significant experience in a similar role, particularly within diabetes care.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive and have access to your own transport, as the role may require travel between sites.
