Job Title: Technical Services Manager

Salary: Depending on experience from 50,000 - 60,000
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Services Manager to join a commercial portfolio in Surrey. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering services, requiring a proactive and hands-on approach with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Ownership of Engineering Services: Take full responsibility for the engineering services, ensuring high standards of operational performance, maintenance, and compliance.
- Engineering Management: Oversee the technical teams to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Commercial Awareness & Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong commercial insight and a proactive approach to maximizing efficiency and profit.
- Customer Focus: Maintain a customer-focused attitude with a flexible working style to adapt to client needs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for engineering operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Leadership & Motivation: Provide strong leadership and motivational skills to drive performance, foster team collaboration, and maintain high levels of employee engagement.
- Third-Party/Contractor Management: Manage external contractors and third-party service providers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
- Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices across all engineering operations.
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects, including demised tenant fit-out, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in engineering management, with a strong background in technical services.
- Strong understanding of budget management and financial reporting.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to make strategic business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Demonstrable experience in managing third-party contractors and suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations within engineering services.
- Prior experience in project management, specifically involving tenant fit-out projects, is highly desirable.
- A customer-centric approach with the ability to balance client needs with operational efficiency.
